Behind the Scenes

One year ago, on Monday, June 27th, 2022, we embarked on the exciting journey of filming Itu Ninu. Throughout the production, we walked to set and occasionally utilised public transport to reach the filming locations. Today, we want to give you a glimpse behind the scenes with some of our favourite pictures.

On the first day of filming, Monday, June 27th, we dedicated our efforts to capturing the different encounters between Ángel and Sofía. The majority of these scenes unfolded in the surroundings of the Water of Leith Walkway.

The following day, Tuesday, June 28th, we embarked on a bus journey to Dunbar, where the sea served as a breathtaking backdrop for Ángel and Sofía’s scenes.

In the morning of Wednesday, June 29th, we found ourselves filming the scenes of Sofía working at a recycling facility. Our sincerest gratitude goes to the Edinburgh Remakery for graciously allowing us to film in their premises.

In the afternoon of the same day, we ventured to Bundits of Leith and to the local bar Smoke & Mirrors to film a captivating night out scene.

Thursday arrived, and it was time to visualise all scenes in Sofía’s house, situated in a flat on Dalkeith Road. We hopped on a bus to reach this location.

Finally, on Friday, we captured several scenes in front of the Lind and Lime Distillery in Edinburgh before wrapping up the day with actress Alejandra Herrera.

Our filming journey continued in August as we focused on capturing Ángel in various solo scenes, to complete the story.

Stay tuned as we unveil more captivating moments from the production.
