Premiere in Warsaw, Poland
We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you all! The moment we’ve been eagerly waiting for is here. We are delighted to announce the first screenings of our film, Itu Ninu, a project that has been a labor of love and dedication for everyone involved. The film’s journey starts at the Własnymi Słowami Film Festival, which in English means “In Our Own Words.”
The Własnymi Słowami festival celebrates the beauty of Indigenous and minority languages through the art of cinema. The festival serves as a platform for sharing stories that might have otherwise remained unheard. One of the festival’s core missions is to highlight the importance of preserving and celebrating Indigenous and minority languages. Itu Ninu aligns perfectly with this vision, as its narrative embraces Mixtec language and cultural heritage. We are honoured to be a part of an event that champions diversity and linguistic heritage.
Itu Ninu will screen at the Kino Luna in Warsaw, Poland, on September 9th at 19:30. This premiere marks a significant milestone in our journey, as we will have a first opportunity to share the unique narrative of Itu Ninu for the first time with an international audience.

Welt Museum Showcase in Vienna
Itu Ninu will also travel to Vienna in November, where it will be presented at the Welt Museum. The exhibit, titled Science Fiction(s) – If there were a tomorrow, provides a unique backdrop for our film. This dynamic intersection of science fiction and cultural exploration sets the stage for viewers to delve deeper into the layers of Itu Ninu. The exhibit’s themes resonate deeply with the film’s core, inviting audiences to reflect on our collective future against the backdrop of pressing global challenges such as climate change.
An Invitation to Chile’s FicWallmapu Film Festival
In November, “Itu Ninu” will embark on yet another journey, this time to Chile. The film has been selected to be a part of the 8th FicWallmapu film festival, an event that celebrates Indigenous cinema and the power of storytelling.
